HitPaw Edimakor 2.6.0 — Mac version
If you know CapCut but want something that feels a bit more like a traditional desktop editor, Edimakor sits in that same space. Here's how a trim-and-merge job actually goes.
Timeline snapping — the playhead grabs clip edges and markers so cuts land exactly where you want them, not a frame off.
Linked materials — when you drag the main video track, any overlaid stickers or titles shift with it. No accidental misalignment.
Unlimited tracks — you can stack as many layers of video, audio, and effects as your Mac can handle. Handy for picture-in-picture commentary.
AI cutout — the app can separate a person from the background without a green screen. Useful for dropping a talking head over gameplay.
Stickers and transitions — a built-in library of animated elements. Drag one onto the timeline, shorten it to match a beat, and you're done.
On an Intel Mac running Catalina, the interface stays snappy with a couple of 1080p tracks. The Russian localisation is solid if that's your language, though the installer's Gatekeeper dance (a quick Terminal command) is the only bit that feels less polished than the editing itself.
Point the render cache to your external SSD, not your boot drive
Open Preferences before you start a real project. The default scratch-disk location is your boot drive — if you're editing off an external SSD, point Edimakor's cache there instead. It stops your system drive filling up with render files halfway through a cut.
Set the timeline to magnetic if you want clips to snap together without gaps, or free if you need deliberate silence between segments. You can switch later, but it's one of those settings that's easier to choose before the timeline gets busy.
Drop the playback resolution to half or quarter in the preview window. On older Intel Macs, that keeps scrubbing smooth while you build the rough cut. Switch it back to full only when you're checking fine details like keyed edges or text sharpness.
Pull a QuickTime voiceover into the timeline for cleaner noise reduction
Edimakor doesn't try to replace a full audio workstation, but it's fine for basic clean-up. For anything trickier — noise reduction on a windy voiceover, say — record straight into QuickTime Player, then drag the file onto an audio track. The waveform draws instantly, and you can trim breaths in tight.
Titles you build in Edimakor can borrow from system fonts you've already installed. If you've added a brand typeface through Font Book, it shows up in Edimakor's text tool without a restart. Same goes for custom LUTs: drop a .cube file onto the effects panel rather than hunting through menus.
The app plays nicely with Handoff in a limited way — start a rough assembly on your desk Mac, AirDrop the project file to a MacBook, and carry on from the sofa. Just keep the source media in the same relative folder structure on both machines.
Shift-Delete a clip to ripple the gap shut in one keystroke
- Ripple delete shortcut: Select a clip, press
Shift-Delete. The gap closes and everything to the right slides left. Faster than trimming and nudging manually. - Right-click on any transition icon in the timeline to set it as the default. Next time you overlap two clips and hit
Cmd-T, that transition drops in without dragging from the library. - Double-click a title in the preview window to edit text directly on screen, not in a separate inspector. Less clicking around when you're fine-tuning placement.
- Hold Option while dragging a clip edge to stretch it with time remapping rather than a speed change. Works for subtle slow-downs on a reaction shot without the whole clip going slo-mo.
- Colour-code tracks by right-clicking the track header. A green track for voice, blue for music, pink for subtitles — makes a 12-track timeline readable at a glance.
If you grabbed Edimakor through a community share — the sort of thing that gets tagged HitPaw Edimakor torrent or Edimakor crack on forums — the app itself is fully functional once it's past Gatekeeper. No hobbled export formats or watermark surprises. The same goes for builds labelled Edimakor cracked; they unpack to the same editor, just without the online account bits that require a connection.
- macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer (up to macOS 26 supported)
- Intel 64-bit processor (Apple Silicon runs via Rosetta 2)
Questions from the bench
Does Edimakor run on Apple Silicon Macs?
The build is Intel x86 64-bit, so it runs through Rosetta 2 on Apple Silicon Macs. Performance is perfectly usable for 1080p work.
How do you bypass Gatekeeper for Edimakor?
Mount the disk image, run the Open Gatekeeper friendly file, then press Enter in the Terminal window that appears. After that, drag the app into your Applications folder.
What languages does Edimakor support?
The interface comes in sixteen languages including English, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
