Juicy: Battery Alerts & Health 1.5.6 — Mac version
Sequoia or later
Juicy works on any Mac that runs macOS 15.6 or later — that's Apple Silicon and Intel 64-bit machines. If your Mac is on Sequoia, you're sorted.
What does it tell you about the battery?
It gives you real-time health percentage, capacity and cycle count, straight from the battery's own data. You also see temperature warnings, voltage dips, and the service recommendations Apple uses.
Nudge at 3% or unplug to spare the cells
You can set high-battery alerts to unplug before you cook the cells, and low-battery nudges at 3%, 5%, 10% or whatever level you choose. Version 1.5 adds charging limits with heat protection to take the guesswork out of it.
AirPods and Magic Mouse levels, all on-device
Juicy shows battery levels for connected kit like AirPods, Magic Mouse, Keyboard, Trackpad, Beats headphones, iPhone and iPad. All the processing stays on your machine — no cloud tracking involved.
A long train ride and a dodgy charger
A freelancer on a packed cross-country train plugs into the seat socket. Half an hour later the menu bar icon flashes orange — Juicy spotted a voltage wobble while the power brick struggled. She sets a high-battery alert at 80%, unplugs once it pings, and works the rest of the trip on battery. The heat-protection charging limit stops the MacBook getting toasty inside her bag when she tops up later at a café.
Turn off the macOS battery icon so Juicy’s percentage appears
The menu-bar percentage won't show. macOS can only display one battery icon at a time. In System Settings, head to Control Centre, find Battery, and turn off "Show in Menu Bar". Then Juicy's own icon appears with the number inside.
Connected device levels won't update. If your AirPods or Magic Keyboard show the wrong charge, pop them back in their case for a few seconds, then reconnect. Juicy polls the Bluetooth stack, so it needs a fresh handshake.
Heat warnings fire too often. The default threshold errs on the safe side. In the app's preferences, raise the trigger by a couple of degrees — especially if you do heavy video work where warm internals are normal.
Searching "juicy battery alerts & health crack mac" sometimes turns up folks hunting a patched copy, and if you go that route, just double-check the app's local-only data processing stays intact — no funny business phoning home.

Questions from the bench
Does Juicy send battery data anywhere?
No. All the battery data stays on your Mac — the app processes everything locally and doesn't use any cloud tracking.
