People running a community print shop or small maker space reach for Logoist 5 when they need a tidy logo, a card for a stall, or a collage for a noticeboard without wrestling a subscription. It sits alongside the tools you already have — it opens, you pick a template, and you get on with it.

Shapes stay sharp at any print size

You probably have Preview for quick crops and maybe an old copy of Pages for layouts. Logoist 5 handles the vector side — shapes that stay sharp no matter how big you print them. The built-in templates give you a head start on posters, social cards and badges, so you are not staring at a blank canvas. It talks the same file formats your other apps expect, and it runs on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs without fuss.

A few things that make it handy

The interface switches between Russian, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, Polish and French — useful in a shared workshop. The Showroom feature added in the 5.2 update gives you a place to browse and remix ideas. And a recent fix sorted out canvas selection when exporting images, so what you see is what you get on paper.

Option-drag to duplicate a shape instantly

Press Option while dragging a shape to duplicate it on the spot. Hold Shift to keep proportions locked as you resize. Right-click any style in the gallery to apply it to every selected object at once — a real time-saver on posters with lots of bits and pieces. The path editor remembers your last used tool, so you can jump back into a half-finished shape without hunting through menus.

Fix washed-out templates with the opacity slider

If a template looks washed out, check the opacity slider on the layer — it can get nudged accidentally. When text refuses to fit a badge, switch to the path editor and drag the text frame corners rather than scaling the whole object. Exporting to SVG and finding odd gaps? Flatten effects first via the Effects panel, then export again. If the app feels slow on an older Intel Mac, turn off live preview in the Inspector while you work. A few people hunting for logoist 5 mac full version forget the disk image stays mounted — eject it after copying the app, otherwise saved files can land in a temp folder.

Questions from the bench

Does Logoist 5 run on older Intel Macs?

Yes, it supports both 64-bit Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15.
