Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault 1.0.42.3 Wine — Mac version
Apple Silicon only on this Wineskin wrapper
This build needs an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS Tahoe. It was tested on a Mac mini M4 and is packaged as a Wineskin wrapper (0.17.8.0 Rev 1), so Intel Macs are out of the picture for this one.
Split your day between dungeon crawling and shopkeeping
You play as Will, an adventurer who splits his time between exploring shifting dungeons and running a shop back in the village of Tresna. During the day you hack through rooms full of creatures, grab relics, then head home to price and sell your haul to the locals.
How does the shop side work?
You set every price yourself. Overcharge and customers walk out; undercharge and you leave coin on the table. The money you earn doesn't just sit there — you can pour it into village businesses to unlock better weapons, armour and passive bonuses for your next run.
What languages does it support?
Turn screen shake down to 30% now
Open the options menu from the title screen and turn screen shake down to about 30%. The default is aggressive and gets tiring during long vault runs. While you're there, bump auto-sort inventory on — it saves fiddly drag-and-drop when your backpack fills with relics.
If you're playing on a MacBook, switch targeting assist to partial rather than full. It stops the aim snapping too hard when you're trying to kite enemies around tight corridors.
Snags you might hit
Game won't launch after dragging to Applications
This is the most common hiccup with the Wineskin wrapper. Mount the disk image again and you'll spot a Fix file sitting next to the app. Double-click it, wait a few seconds, then try launching from Launchpad. Nine times out of ten that sorts it.
Stuttering during busy vault rooms
The Endless Vault throws a lot of particle effects around, and the wrapper adds a thin translation layer. Drop shadows to low and switch v-sync off in the graphics tab. On an M4 Mac mini it should hold 60 fps after that, even when the screen fills with relic golems.
Controller not picked up
Plug your pad in before you open the game — Wineskin doesn't always spot controllers connected mid-session. A wired DualSense or Xbox pad works straight away; Bluetooth pads sometimes need a quick disconnect and reconnect after the title screen loads.
The interface comes in English, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Plenty of choice if English isn't your first language.
